Rants & Raves - A Review of Miss Saigon

Miss Saigon opened last weekend at Playhouse on the Square. What a beautiful production: beautiful lighting, beautiful music, beautifully costumed, beautifully directed and beautifully told. I saw the touring production at the Orpheum several years ago and somehow missed the love story entirely. The space was too large and there were too many technical fireworks. In the intimate setting, that is Playhouse on the Square, director, Jordan Nichols, has concentrated on the story and highlighted the music.
