The gradual change to autumn always brings out excitement and nostalgia in almost everyone I know. For me, it also signals the start of symphony season. Every year when I get the Memphis Symphony Orchestra mailer advertising the upcoming concert season, I feel like a kid all over again. What will be the best concert of the year? Which composer will I fall in love with all over again? Which Opus One concert will wow me the most? All these questions, I know, will be answered soon enough. read more »
